"Founded in Antananarivo, Loko Gasy (meaning 'Malagasy Colors') is more than a band—it is a cultural laboratory. We saw a divide between the rhythmic traditions of Madagascar's regions and decided to build a bridge. By fusing the energetic, ternary Antsa rhythms of the North with the solemn, binary Beko polyphonies of the South, we created Antsa-Beko. Spiced with modern Afrobeat grooves, our music speaks of love (Mifankatiava), solidarity (Mihavana), and the vibrant life of rural Madagascar."
